UNICEF Executive Board: New challenges, new approaches in the field
NEW YORK, USA, 3 June 2010 – Amidst global recession, climate change, natural disasters, conflict and food insecurity, UNICEF is more committed than ever to protecting the rights of all children at risk. Against this backdrop, on the second day of its 2010 Annual Session, the UNICEF Executive Board focused on relief efforts in humanitarian crises worldwide.

LE elementary schools help Haiti, board approves text books for next year
Monday’s regular board meeting of the Little Elm Independent School District board of trustees began with Interim Superintendent Kent Crutsinger presenting a check to a Joe Novak of the Red Cross to be used to help Haiti.

Organizer of Brockton Haiti relief fundraiser slams city councilors and school board members who failed to appear
Fred Fontaine, a local businessman and member of South Shore Haitians United for Progress who organized the Haiti relief fundraiser at the Shaw’s Center last month,  blasted city councilors and school committee members who were no-shows at the event.
