Carpenter student organizes fundraiser
Carpenter High School Grade 11 student Elisia Snyder witnessed the devastation of the Haiti earthquake from her television and was moved. She was prompted to co-ordinate her own World Vision 30-Hour Famine and food drive.

An array of stars play a charity match on a packed Rod Laver Arena to raise funds for victims of the Haiti earthquake. Featured players include Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Serena Williams, Kim Clijsters, Lleyton Hewitt, Samantha Stosur, Novak Djokovic and Bernard Tomic, with special guest chair umpire Jim Courier.

Heart to Haiti: Fundraiser in Wharton collects more than $5,500 for earthquake relief efforts
On Feb. 19, the Heart to Haiti fundraising event at Nokturnal Lounge in Wharton raised more than $5,500 for the Haiti earthquake relief efforts of the Morris County-based Foundation for Peace.
